Generally speaking w/any new technology the leader in the space wins the war. By market cap and $ invested bitcoin is by far the leader. I currently do not own any crypto here. I think they can continue to advance, but there are no real barriers to entry and you can have the technology exist w/out the underlying coins. But the space is still relatively small, people are excited by it and wall street loves that it's an uncorrelated asset at a time when everything is correlated. So as a group they'll likely advance further.

Even though Libra is not a true crypto I think it could do quite well. Pegging to a basket of currencies creates the stability needed for everyday transactions. The fact that governments want to immediate regulate it should tell you something about the space overall. They are fine if it's on the fringes, but a true competitor to fiat will likely not be tolerated by many govs unless issued directly by them. If Libra is allowed to move forward ultimately I think it'll pull money from the space and become the defacto leader imo.

So what coins do you like and why?
