The first thing to understand is that there are many types of cryptos. Bitcoin is only money. It does not have smart contracts and cannot be used for blockchain applications.

There are now 3 generations of cryptos. Many of the newer cryptos have smart contracts. Many will survive and do as well as Bitcoin.

Blockchains for enterprise do not need tokens because they are permissioned and centralized. Blockchains for the public need tokens because they are permissionnedless and often cdecentralized. The token controls the transaction fee, and some other blockchain carracteristics like staking.

I think Libra will be a true crypto, although it will be centralized at first. I am not sure it will ever get decentralized.

I like Cardano because it is the best of the new third generation cryptos for many reasons. I like Quant Network as a speculation because it is something that banks and big business may adopt.
