Just go ahead and confess, Lindsey Graham
Bill Palmer | 9:10 pm EDT June 27, 2019 Palmer Report » Analysis

Yesterday, Lindsey Graham said that he doesn’t care about credibility of the latest rape allegation against Donald Trump, because Trump denied it, and that’s all that matters. This was stupid, insulting, lawless, and utterly deranged. In a sign of how quickly Graham is devolving, he then quickly managed to make things even worse by opening his mouth on a different matter.

Late last night, Lindsey Graham posted this tweet: “After tonight’s Democratic Debate…….that whole Trump 3rd term thing is looking better and better.” Maybe he thinks he’s being funny, or maybe he’s serious; at this rate it’s difficult to parse what this lunatic is even trying to say. But what is clear is that Graham will say anything – no matter how ludicrous or cartoonish – in the hope of remaining on Donald Trump’s good side.

The thing is, Lindsey Graham has already clearly established that he’s on Team Trump. He’s already found his way into a new chapter of (shameful) relevance in the process. There’s no need for him to keep taking this ridiculously far. This isn’t the behavior of someone who’s making calculated political decisions to get ahead. It’s the behavior of someone who’s overreacting because he’s desperately afraid of Trump.

It’s becoming easier by the day to figure out that Donald Trump is holding something over Lindsey Graham’s head. Graham has admitted on cable news that when he was running for president in 2016, someone hacked his personal email. Whatever secrets his emails contained, they’ve never surfaced – but someone has them, and that “someone” probably rhymes with “Ronald Grump.” Whatever Graham is hiding, he might as well just confess now and erase Trump’s leverage. It’s going to surface eventually anyway.
