I have a surface pro 4 that I love and lent it to a family member for a while. I don't know what the heck they were doing with it but it was a mess and I could not get it back even via a restore point that I put in place prior to lending it out so I chose to do a reinstall and found out that a typical windows 10 installation though worked was not designed for a tablet....after a month or so of tweaking. A little more research showed me that I had the wrong version of windows 10 and now I am good to go.

Yeah, changing the bios is confusing but changing from legacy to UFEI you won't even notice the difference, you'll just be able to run your computer properly. I had to do it on my MSI motherboard. If push comes to shove you can just revert back but you'll be fine. Remember Goggle is your friend....until he isn't :-)
