So as not to keep you in suspense, I proffer the following from Dorland's Medical Dictionary:

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease: Progressive neuropathic (peroneal [not to be confused with perineal]) muscular atrophy, named for:

Jean Martin Charcot (1825-1893) French neurologist
Pierre Marie (1853-1940) French physician
Howard Henry Tooth (1856-1925) English physician

Drs. Marie and/or Charcot, in combination with the names of other people of science, can be found sprinkled throughout the roster of eponymous diseases, syndromes, signs, etc. Were there a Top-Ten List of physicians who have made such contribution, Drs. Marie and Charcot would surely be found near the top.
