Vireya, My suggestion was to Ron and Josh or anyone here who is really into computers. When I worked at Microsoft I first build a Hackintosh and then bought a Mac Pro because I wanted to better understand the competition and the MAC experience. It was a good process. I showed a link to ebay and a good used Mac Store. As for by older Mac computers you don’t need the latest OS to gain experience with them, do some homework and determine what version you want or feel you want and figure out the minimum requirements for what you want. The Mac Mini will do for most users here. Myself I prefer the Mac Pro. Don
