Nonsense. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Lying about it doesn't change the facts. It wasn't a crisis in any sense of the word. Things weren't great, but far from a crisis outside of the minds of some racists. Insisting that asylum seekers only go through certain checkpoints and then not providing enough resources to process them, made bad situation worse. Then reducing and then cutting off funds for dealing with the problems that caused the asylum seekers to leave their countries in the first place just piled things up. Concentrating asylum seekers in designated facilities on the border just poured gasoline on it.
