Intelligent parents encourage their children to be as wily and manipulative as possible, Janice. It is a cat eat dog world out there. If my girls do not learn to bat their eyes effectively how will they get the best husbands? (and good grades for tht matter) Silly J, you also do not have a husband to keep in line, and one must be plenty manipulative to do that. It is a predispostion we must nurture and develope in our girls lest they not be able to compete in the global coquetish marketplace. Excuse my typing, I ahve a new set of nails (which my husband hinted he would like to see me get, and now I am pretty much hamstrung as far as typing is concerned. You know I wonder if that wasn't his little plan. Like footbinding women so they can't run away he has me make my fingers incapable of typing. Boy, now TAHTS manipulative, especially when one considers the etymological angle of all this)
