Interesting, I remember many years ago I had to talk to a neighbor to see if it was possible to top a tree in his yard so not to lose my signal. I lived in a forest and I can still remember when the Dish tech first visited he couldn't find an opening. But being frustrated I found a another satellite contractor and their tech spend a few hours and was finally about to find a good opening where branches would degrade the signal. But over the years a smaller tree grew and totally blocked the signal. When you live pretty far north the angle of the signal is pretty low But in the end I decide to drop the disk and moved to cable.
