Actually, not. It would have been illegal if they had solicited the info and paid for it like Clinton and the DNC did with the foreign agent Steele dossier. . Just accepting it as freely transferred info is not illegal.

And there SHOULD HAVE BEEN an investigation since Trump's SIL, son and campaign manager met with a team of Russian agents about getting stolen dirt on Hillary before the election. Which happens to be illegal.
