The Free Edition of MiniTool Partition Wizard will Merge partitions on a drive.

partitionwizard.com

When installing MiniTool Partition Wizard uncheck any boxes about Avast, McAfee, or any other additional software.
MiniTool is great software, but pay attention when you are installing it to avoid installing more software than you want.

If you don't have programs installed on the D drive, the Merge option is best for you.

If you do have programs installed on the D drive, the Extend option should be used.

Going forward this post assumes you will Merge partitions.
  • In MiniTool click on your C drive and select Merge Partition.
  • Next select the D drive for the merge
  • Then click on apply in the menu bar
MiniTool will want to reboot your computer to preform the task.

Afterward, everything in the D drive will be in a folder named "merged_partition_content"

Suggest you rename the new folder to "# D drive"

This will force the new folder to the top of the list in File Explorer.

Ask if you have questions.

Best -- Josh
