qdog, thanx for the reply.
I did not read ahead before posting that question and so was unaware that it was old news. When I found out it was already submitted.
However, my point, I believe, is still valid that there was apparently enough justification to drill and the subsequent "blowout" seems to justify the effort. Also, the often referred to oil spill also adds weight to the argument that the presence of a substantial amount of oil is nearly certain.
The point that I was attempting to throw out was that this exploration effort is most likely ahead of the average schedule and could "blow" again with quite a surprise to most.
Yes, there will need to be flowrates determined, etc. etc. ( I am a novice in the industry and have learned by being a good study) It seems that the Kaz government was at that very stage and the blowout derailed the effort as did the discovery af Tengiz.
So bottom line is IMHO that we can see production by June 1998 and therefore a substantial share price increase by about March to April.
Not trying to sound like Bouhafa but they were just random thoughts and I thought I would field them to you as you appear knowledgeable.
