Mindmeld, just to follow up on the notion that reporting black people committing crimes is "racist," here's a controversy brewing here in San Francisco:

White YouTube Employee Calls Police On Black Man Waiting For Friend At San Francisco Apartment Building

The black guy who was reported on was a software engineer named Wesly Michel, and the white guy who was doing the reporting was YouTube employee Christopher Cukor.

The short version of the story was that the black guy was inside the gated apartment waiting on his friend, who lived there (but wasn't actually in the building at the time of the incident). White guy, who lives there, confronts the black guy and asks him to call the friend he was waiting for. Black guy refuses, and white guy calls police on him, suspecting him to be a trespasser.

Meanwhile the white guy's son is there crying and pleading with his dad not to call the police.

Of course, most of the media, as well as most people viewing this for social justice reasons, blame the white guy for daring to report the black guy as a trespasser. But the white guy is completely justified in this instance. The black guy obviously tailgated someone else entering the apartment complex, and his friend was not in the apartment complex at the time, so technically he is indeed trespassing.

But that's not the story that most people will hear.
