In the late 1950s , beginning of the 60s while I resided in Prince George BC, I had a pet Crow form domesticated from the nest. Had it's tongue cut to set it free for more movement. When you do that a Crow then can mimic sounds and like a parrot will repeat words they hear and even a sentence or two. Any Vet knows how to make the incision. Harmless to the crow as to its normal activities. Amusing to say the least.
