TEKLOGIX COMPLETES ADDITIONAL INSTALLATIONS FOR KMART

MISSISSAUGA, Ont., Jan. 21 /CNW/ - Teklogix International Inc., a global leader in wireless data communications, today announced that it has completed the installation of its systems at four additional sites for Kmart Corporation. The exact value of the contract is not being disclosed. Teklogix completed the installation of 13 Kmart distribution centres in November of 1996 in a multimillion-dollar contract and has now expanded the networks to four of the retailer's ''softline'' distribution centres. Teklogix' focus on the industrial market was a key factor in its selection. Its system has the capability to perform multiple tasks in a high transaction environment and provides the extensive coverage needed at these sites ranging from 1.5 to 2.3 million sq. ft.
Kmart is one of the world's largest mass merchandise retailers, serving the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
