The recent article by Ayaan Hirsi Ali was very interesting in this respect. She was wondering whether Rep Omar might be able to “overcome” and unlearn her childhood indoctrinations. Alas, there is no need to wonder - for this to happen, at the very least the person must be willing to try. Omar, to the contrary, seems happy with her convictions.

This... I found very disturbing. A direct illustration of what you said.
