Slow Modem ... I run Net Medic as I surf. I got a trial version with the Netscape Communicator. It is a pretty good trouble shooter and helps you optimize your surf experience. It lets you know where the bottlenecks are and proposes fixes. It enabled compression for my modem after asking me if it was OK to do so. I can always tell if my ISP is slow or my CPU or the net site. You can get a trial version from vitalsigns.com The version I use let me run the full application for 30 days, now I am stuck with the limited version unless I fork over some more bucks.
