Just posted this on the main Apple, Inc. thread, but it's more appropriate here:

Welp, last quarter didn't turn out to well for Netflix. Since investors only care about subscriber growth, which they missed badly (and are always terrible at predicting anyway), NFLX got hammered after hours, currently down about 12%.

With all the talk about Apple and especially Disney's new streaming services being introduced in the fall, worries are that Netflix is going to have substantial trouble keeping it's subscriber base growing, possibly even losing many.

The new that Netflix will be losing its two biggest shows, The Office (in 2021) and Friends (next year) hasn't helped. Netflix is also losing access to Disney content soon too, in September I think.

I definitely wouldn't be an investor in Netflix right now, have to wait to see how things shake out by spring of next year.
