My most novel job as a kid was shining shoes in a barber shop, but also mowed yards then. Some fast food places were next. Later worked in a cotton mill, cable factory, box factory, and saw mill. The next phase was as an orderly in a hospital and later a live-in assistant for a quadriplegic. That was too depressing and went to work for Allied Van Lines mostly as a loader.
