Some cable system facts:

In 1995 there were 11351 cable systems in operation and 56.5 million subscribers (1995 Cable Television & Cable Factbook).

Odyssey's homefront study showed that 37% of American households owns a personal computer and 46% of these (17% of total households) are online (March 1997). Another Odyssey study showed that in San Francisco, 48% of the online households were using an ISP while 35 % were using a commercial online service (july 1996).
