I am putting together a multi-component server configuration. The main server is IIS/Windows. No problem. One required component redis.io is only supported on Linux. This is a single user DEV environment, so load is insignificant. I can get a reasonable refurbished PC for a little over $100 microcenter.com

My plan is to install Linux on something like that. I have not done a Linux/Unix install for over 15 years, and I was always installing on a new unformatted drive. Are there any issues installing Linux over a Windows install? Obviously I can replace the disk with an adequate one quite cheap, 500G is plenty.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.
