First, to get to this board, do a search for "savings and loan" because unless there have been messages in the past 3 days, the subject will not show in the Misc. General section. Second, its good to see you made some of your money back on CalFed! For the structure of the original CALGZ, see the earlier posts in this thread. As for the new issue, all I know is what I have read in the press released since I have never once recieved any communication from CalFed since March when I bought CALGZ. At this point it would seem that Glendale is indeed a great buy at about $18/share, BTW. I am sure the the new CALGZ offers more leverage than CALGZ itself and if so, I would be interested in selling my CALGZ and investing the profits in the new certificates.
