Socratic dialogs, these threads aint. This is why I rarely post. Most folks just dig in and have no interest in hearing, understanding, or respecting other opinions.

I'll give you one example: People working at WalMart and similar places who are not paid enough money to make ends meet. Why should anyone be paid not enough to live? Wages are set to maximize profits of the company and the investors. Workers usually have no say in how much they are paid and often cannot just walk away. This not rocket science but is a nearly unavoidable outcome of capitalism. Many workers have no choice but to work these jobs.

Most people's sympathies seem to fall on the side of capital or labor. I don't see you offering to make up the difference between wages and expenses of Walmart workers... If your costs were to go up due to a tax on trading, I say: Deal with it, just like regular folks do...

I guess you know which side I align with...
