IMHO, a pretty good list, especially when thinking strategically ie how to win voters in Red states. The devil is in the details. How do we pay for single payer healthcare, free tuition (I don't think the NY program goes nearly far enough) and infrastructure projects without raising taxes? You think the .5% Wall Street tax will be the death of the world as we know it. ( I disagree, especially in that relatively few Red state people have 401ks.) Where is the money going to come from?

My guess is a majority of people will support free trade, especially if it leads to jobs and better consumer prices. I can't really figure what Trump is up to with China, other than whipping up xenophobia.

While I support gun control, many of my neighbors here in rural Oregon are pro-gun. I'm not sure banning guns will fly in Middle America.

I think climate change is coming round as an issue. Even if it the world is not warming up (unlikely) the risks of not dealing with it are too great to be wrong on. This is the Precautionary Principle, espoused by Nassim Taleb and others. The trick is how to address it without breaking the already broke budget...

So, who can be the electable standard-bearer for this platform? I like Tulsi G. because she is a vet, smart, anti-war and for single payer. She doesn't strike me as a rabid liberal. Who is your best choice?
