To All:
Just to give a bit of background, I bought HEC sometime late 1996-ish (just under 3) and sold back early-mid 1997-ish (somewhere a tad north of 5 if I recall) and haven't touched it, or even followed it since. (HEC was one of the small number of stock trades I actually made money on, I stopped trading pretty much altogether.)
Why I'm posting now? About 20 minutes ago, I got an e-mail from a David J. Rogerson at parkcrest.com. Never heard of him, never heard of parkcrest.com. They have a web address www.parkcrest.com and I have not (nor do I intend to) check it out.
The contents of Mr. Rogerson's e-mail were just the PR Newswire story on "Estero #3 Formation Evaluation Results are Favorable."
I read it, and will admit that it did get me to check the price action, etc, and read the last 25 or so posts here just to see what I'd missed. Not gonna buy any HEC, however.
The point of my post is that someone, somewhere really wants to get the news out on HEC. Enough to send to some sort of large mailing list (I'm assuming, since I can't see how I would have ended up on the list, especially at a relatively new e-mail address, had it been targeted specifically, say, to people who used to post here or something.)
Whether this will affect the price of HEC in any way remains to be seen. I just figured you HEC folks would like to know.
Good luck...
-Mike
The actual content of the message (other than the press release:)
Dear Investor:
I have attached Harkens news release on the initial evaluation results for the Estero # 3 well in Colombia for your review. Parkcrest Explorations management is analysing the log reports from the Estero #3 well and will issue the news release shortly.

The incorrect grammar (Harkens not Harken's) is his, not mine, as is the British spelling of "analysing." |
