Hi, everyone,

I'm pretty sure I've posted about this before, but there's a new twist.

When I buy something on Amazon Prime, I never "one-click." I put the item into my cart.

Then at checkout I'm given the option for two-day shipping or "delayed" shipping, for which option I will receive a $1 digital credit. 90% of the time, I choose the "delayed" shipping in order to get the digital credit: I'm really good when it comes to planning ahead for my Amazon needs. I rarely need something immediately.

It doesn't seem like much, but I LOVE those $1 digital credits: they really add up! It's so much fun to be able to watch a new $5.99 movie for free or subscribe to an entire $15.99 TV season for free!

Usually, Amazon promises me a delayed-delivery date about a week later than the two-day shipment date.

But here's the new twist: for the last month or two, they've been shipping my "delayed" shipments immediately! So, although I can't count on this on the rare occasions that I want something immediately, I love getting the digital credit and the fast shipment.

Here's a couple of tips to maximize your digital credits:

1). I want to buy a quantity of 2 Gizmos. I put 1 Gizmo into my cart, and check out with delayed shipping.

2). Then I put the second Gizmo in my cart, and check out with delayed shipping.

I get $2 in digital credits.

OR 3) Today I want to buy a Whatsit and also a Thingamabob. I put the Whatsit alone into my cart and check out with delayed shipping.

4). Then I put the Thingamabob into my cart and check out with delayed shipping.

Again, I get $2 in digital credits.

Double video credits, but no carbon-footprint double imprint, and no increased shipping cost for Amazon: they are going to put them both in the same box and ship them together anyway.
