Thanks for that Mackle! I agree with everything you said except perhaps the reason for the absence of mineral trains (m.t.'s). Overburden to date has shown to be fairly shallow (though I believe on some properties it may prove to be much thicker). Couldn't the lack of m.t.'s be because BH kimb-pipe glacial erosion is virtually non-extant, or at least only nominally affected? The steadfastness of the pipes (at shallow depth with little breakup) could mean that no trains are present because the deposits remain at site. [I am by no means an expert] This would also mean that the full composite pipes would offer much greater tonnage, due to fixed deposition. Re. the mineral indicators pointing toward eclogitic diamonds-- these types of stones are, historically, larger and of premium quality (which fits ACA's findings to date), and originate beneath the source strata for peridotitic, thus lending towards the theory of the AB Buffalo craton being plenty thick to host an economic deposit (contrary to some skeptics). mountainprovince.com Also, you are so correct in pointing out the logistics factor of target selection by Ashton!
