Dwight warned of the military- industrial complex but it should be expanded to include other entities and that would constitute the Deep State. Eisenhower was prescient although I think the Founding Fathers understood the dynamics of what could happen. They anticipated a lot but I think they would not appreciate the way new rules and regulations can be instituted that bypass the Legislative Branch and the non-adherence to the Constitution of some federal judges....
