I thought it was cuz I had read a message on the Willits Environmental Center sign while going to work, which made me think that I'd have to put my money where my mouth was, if I was gonna be talking about alternative energy.
The point is that it's not all your money. California gives massive subsidies to solar and other forms of alternative energy. You obviously took advantage of as many as you could.

Meanwhile, California raises rates on the rest of us and resists building more generation capacity because of that climate changey thingy. This is reflected in California's reliance on other states for its electrical needs, up to 33% in 2016 vs. 25% in 2010. Even hydro and nuclear power, two carbon-free sources of energy, are on the decline here.

Of course, all you think about is how YOU are supposedly living a "carbon free" lifestyle on your own dime ...
