I don't know about CA but here in the Houston area almost of the massage parlors are Asian and I believe they're ALL houses of prostitution. There are regular prostitution busts from them in our area.
I don't know what Tucker Carlson and the other Fox News cultural warriors would say about that. Doesn't bother me ... otoh no one makes people go in those places. But as far as for trafficking is concerned, my church does outreach work and says the women are usually brought into the country by organized criminal rings. Once they're in the country they're basically locked in these places and have to pay off debts to the gang that owns them. The women are told they'll be working in nail or beauty parlors before they get here.
Liping Yu, 37, and Tian Wang, 33, face prostitution-related charges and were booked into the Harris County Jail. Wang had a $1,500 bond and this is her second prostitution charge. Yu had a $500 bond. Both women have posted bond and are out of jail, according to Harris County Sheriff's Office online records.

 Undercover deputies arrested two women who were allegedly offering sex for money at an area massage parlor. (Renee Schiavone/Patch)SPRING, TX -- Two women were charged with prostitution after they allegedly offered to have sex with undercover deputy constables in exchange for money. Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman said his office was conducting an investigation of alleged prostitution activity at the Top Care Foot Reflexology Spa.
The undercover deputies posed as customers, and went into the spa in the 11900 block of Jones Road in Spring on May 1.
While they were inside, two employees, identified as Xingcui Zhai and Chunping Gu, offered to perform sex acts on the deputies in exchange for money, according to a press release from Herman's office.

SPRING, Texas - Two women are accused of prostitution at a north Harris County massage parlor.
Aichun Wang, 35, and Cheng Chong Fan, 45, were arrested Tuesday and charged with prostitution.
