Sounds like a Viking Manifesto. LOL. Do you remember ever reading "The Once and Future King", by T.H. White? One of the themes in that book, that was communicated through Merlin's coaching and mentoring of King Arthur, was that the world that Arthur must combat was the world of "might makes right" and that he should establish a round table of equals and a set of laws to govern people by, so that justice and a protection of the weak would prevail. That's still one of my favorite books from when I was younger.
I think part of the reason why the older folks are more moral and values centered is that we were taught to be that way and the lessons were reinforced by church and by the books we read in school, and by the Scouts and by the movies we saw. There was a vision of what to be an American meant and we were all raised to be that way: idealistic, confident, self-reliant, family oriented, unselfish, protective of those weaker than ourselves, and willing to take on the world to change the world.
Those values have been systematically destroyed by the left and what we have remaining is nothing to replace it. So hedonism, nihilism, victim-mentality, anxiety, depression, envy, atheism, and tribalism begin to take root and replace the void that was left behind. We don't believe in anything anymore, much less ourselves. Is it no wonder that chaos has taken center stage? |
