Boris Johnson tells Irish PM Leo Varadkar that the UK will 'never' put up a physical border with Ireland after they FINALLY speak amid bitter Brexit spat - nearly a week after he entered Downing Street.

More of the same stupidity. Why is this so difficult for the English to understand?

Leaving the EU means you are creating a border between Ireland in the EU and Northern Ireland in the UK.

If you want goods and people to flow freely without any border-controls across a foreign border, the other nation, the EU, has to agree to this.

The EU still says if the UK continues to comply with EU product and migration rules they can do without a border. If they don't want to comply with EU rules they need to agree to an effective border. If the UK's imaginary "electronic border" satisfies the EU then they can do that. But if smuggling occurs, a hard border is mandatory.

The UK wants to stop migration of Polish EU citizens from coming to the UK and Polish citizens can catch a very inexpensive flight to the EU nation of Ireland.

Without a border, Polish citizens can simply take a bus or walk into Northern Ireland and take a ferry to England. Just how stupid is Boris Johnson?
