As a young boy I had a Shetland Pony named Fritz.

I loved kicking fritz in the hind ribs and pulling on the reins.

He would very gently rise up on his hind legs - use to drive my Mom nuts. LOL

In my later years, I'd rent of horse and hunt Elk high up in the Rockies.

Loved getting lost at 9,000 feet.

Our government lands and forests are just such a wonderful treasure.

Last several wilderness trips have been to the bush of Alaska - Moose hunting.

Now I just plant sweet peas, radishes, beets and winter wheat on my 40 acres and enjoy corn fed venison.

Traded my horse in for a Polaris Ranger - they don't kick or eat as much. <smile>
