HI SGJ, They have a low gear 2 wheel and 4 wheel. I have a hil that is a 45 degree incline. In low gear, I climb it with a 3/4 throttle and you can hear it breathing air.''Never even close to not making it- even with a load. I freak people out when I drive up that hill - its a big hill. They get white knuckled! Now mine is a 700 cc fuel injection. Newer models are 900 and 1000 cc. At my age of 67, they make a lot of things much easier to accomplish. If the Ranger won't do it, I use an old Ford 5000 diesel 4 cylinder tractor with a tiller If I need something heavy lifted , I have an old diesel Bobcat. If that doesn't get it done, I call somebody with big equipment or rent it. One of the most fun pieces of equipment to run is a Bob Cat mini - excavator. I've always like to do things myself as a challenge - fun learning new things. Bob
