Construction companies being demolished. Big loss by Fluor drops stock to 15-year low. GVA also falling.
So too with MDR. Problem maybe with MDR and others perhaps, is, company wins competive bid but can't make a profit from the work. Not enough cost plus contracts, perhaps because customers can and are demanding more competition from their potential suppliers.

MDR has the backlog, but who knows if they can construct profitably from them (assuming the contracts aren't cancelled in a recession). I still have my MDR shares and am adding to them. Have to believe the company will be looked at favorably again by investors/speculators at some point. I'm not following the others. FLR once had great reputation for profits/growth as well as engineering/construction expertise, but its stock has been dangerous (in past decade, for me) with its earnings surprises (losses).
