"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me--an agency assistant at the time," Miriam Goderich wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."

I had occasion to show this to an attorney specializing in entertainment law, more liberal than you are, who had never heard it before. I said to him, "You're an expert in this field. What do you think? Would she have written this without his awareness"

His words to me were, paraphrasing, "It does seem highly unlikely that would have occurred."

I agree with him. It would not have occurred, Obama was an attorney and fully understood the implications of a lie. Furthermore, it was conveniently taken down from the internet only a month or so before his announcement of his candidacy.

If this were a crime, I guarantee you the Mueller Report would have considered the evidence plenty strong for an indictment.
