A University of California, Riverside professor said on Twitter that “all” supporters of President Donald Trump are “white nationalist terror supporters.”This same professor seemingly threatened the life of Senior Counselor to the President Kellyane Conway, saying that she needs to be “eradicate[d].”
A California professor stated that “all” supporters of President Donald Trump are “white nationalist terror supporters.”

Reza Aslan, a creative writing professor at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), according to the school's website, made this comment on Twitter over the weekend following the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

"This evil, racist scourge must be eradicated from society" Tweet This

“After today, there is no longer any room for nuance. The president is a white nationalist terror leader,” Aslan, who has worked as a CNN host, said on Twitter. “His supporters - ALL OF THEM - are by definition white nationalist terror supporters.”

Trump received 62,984,825 total votes from supporters in the 2016 presidential election, according to CNN.

“The MAGA hat is a KKK hood,” the professor continued. “And this evil, racist scourge must be eradicated from society.”

After Senior Counselor to the President Kellyane Conway appeared to call out the “depraved evil” of mass shootings, Aslan sent a tweet her way.

“You are ‘the depraved evil’ we need to eradicate,” he said.

When Newsmax host John Cardillo interpreted the remark as a death threat against Conway, Aslan continued, sayingthat “we are all so f***ing fed up with you racist GOPers and your bad faith bull****.”

In 2017, CNN reported that it had canceled the second season of Aslan’s show “Believer” on the network following Aslan's anti-Trump tweets.

Campus Reform tried multiple times to reach UC-Riverside for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication.

When Campus Reform asked Aslan to elaborate on the statements he made Sunday, given that Trump condemned the El Paso shooting hours earlier as "an act of cowardice," and given that on Monday Trump responded to both the El Paso shooting as well as the Dayton, Ohio shooting, saying that the nation must condemn "in one voice" "racism, bigotry, and white supremacy."

Aslan responded to Campus Reform, saying, "If you think Trump - who has made white nationalism the bedrock of his presidency - has actually condemned white nationalism then you are an idiot." This statement was made after Trump said in a nationally televised speech, "in one voice our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated."
