That's not written there. But let's stay with corruption.

Why Xi had to become bigger than Mao and amass all power?

To fight rampant corruption.

He could not have touched the corrupt if he didn't become leader supremo.

But therein lies a problem. Power itself is a drug. And once the leader gets the power he start making mistakes.

But because he is the leader supremo; he cannot be contested.

But there is more to that fact.

Once you are the big leader, you cannot bow to pressure. Nor to reason, by the way.. Thus he has to react to the US challenge head on, instead of negotiating

But TJ does not know how to analyse Xi nor China. I do.
