Donald Trump reportedly encouraged Ivanka to leak a sex tape in 2003, after expressing admiration for Paris Hilton.
President Donald Trump’s apparent infatuation with his eldest daughter, Ivanka, has become something of a joke during the real estate mogul’s presidency, with each new detail somehow just as disturbing as the last.
There was the time Trump said he might date Ivanka, were she not his daughter, and also the time he told talk radio host Howard Stern, “ My daughter, Ivanka...she’s got the best body.” In another conversation with Stern, Trump said it was okay to call his daughter “a piece of ass.”
Now, according to The Cut, it appears that Trump once encouraged Ivanka to release her own sex tape.
The idea reportedly came about in 2003 after Paris Hilton’s sex tape was leaked on the internet, and Trump talked about it often. “Paris is laughing all the way to the bank, she’s got the last laugh, she’s marvelous,” he would say.
“Ivanka could not believe her father was not only idolizing an airhead heiress caught blowing a guy on a night-vision video,” The Cut wrote, “but encouraging her to follow Paris’s lead.”
A friend of Ivanka’s told The Cut that it was a difficult time for her: “The thing with Paris hurt Ivanka a lot. He was heartbreaking to her at times.”
Trump’s chauvinism was appalling to Ivanka, her friends said — though she would stop short of describing him as misogynistic. He has issues with women for sure, made clear by his need to pick apart and criticize their appearances, but he does not hate or look down on them in her eyes.
The father and daughter were never close, according to Ivanka’s friends. Though she sought at all times to please the Donald and earn his approval, Ivanka was scared of him. When her father’s phone number showed up on her caller ID, Ivanka would become quite anxious, worrying “about what he was going to say about her life and whether she was about to be blindsided by his disapproval.”
