Actually, the MM must still have them or the total volume would have increased to 10 contracts for the day. He probably sold 500 shares short to hedge his position in them. It'll be a losing proposition for him to hold them more than a day or so, unless the stock takes off, so he'll probably be interested in selling them for an 1/8 to 1/4 higher price. I'll bet if anyone out there wants to offer him 1 13/16 (I sold at 1 11/16), he'd snap it up even though his market ask is 1 15/16.
