It was soundly rejected by these same OEM's who "endorsed" it. They told No.hand, No.thanks. Iomega went back to the drawing board. Maybe they got it right. On the other hand, maybe they just don't get it. The portable industries have already decided that Flash is the way to go. Any other media will have to fight a long uphill battle.

Due to warnings placed at PC Connection when ordering the Sony Maciva floppy disc camera, it is safe to say that disc-based digital cameras are having some problems. Perhaps this is concern enough to scare other manufactureres away from portable disc tech and stay with rugged, dependable Flash.
