Hi Jim,

I indeed have been absent for a while. Work has taken me away from being able to post on SI. But alas, I still own this stock.

I think that after almost 2 years of posting on this company, I am a bit bored.

But the story is the same. I was hoping that the next wave of PC buying would certainly propel this stock. But the Asian crisis has thrown the monkey wrench into the system. What is the outcome?? That is the question everyone will be asking on January 26th.

THE COMPANY MUST ADDRESS THE ASIAN ISSUE IN ITS NEXT EARNINGS REPORT AND/OR CONFERENCE CALL.

You seem to have addressed my current thinking.
1) On one hand you hear of big economic slowdowns starting from Asia.
2) You hear of boats leaving from San Francisco with less stuff in them and returning with a lot more stuff in them. Asians are flooding the US with cheaper imports.

What will the laptop makers do? If they have designed in BMRQ products, then we should see a slight upswing in BMRQ orders. There certainly has not been time to re-design their products to use "cheaper" Asian parts. I have seen no direct Asian competitors except for the Toshiba IC used in the Duracell off-the-shelf laptop batteries. The Duracell exodus from the off-the-shelf laptop battery market has been a boon to BMRQ. The "left over customers" are the perfect fit for BMRQ's good customer service, product support, and price. Individual battery pack makers still need a solution. They are running to BMRQ, MCHP, and to the original Duracell-Toshiba IC. The Toshiba IC should be obsolete soon when everyone moves to higher levels of battery management functionality.

I am still in for the ride. I still have it in my portfolio.
I will probably pick up a few more shares before the 26th of January.
Vickie, thanks for filling in the earings date above...
