Gary, sorry for the delay in getting back to you but we are preparing for our upcoming trip to Vancouver this weekend.
We know that many were expecting major news of a buyout, which may have brought to ALE the same premium that came to UCB shareholders. However, though there is no immediate bang, the deal has received the approval of almost all analysts we have spoken to.
In turning around UCB, a great deal of potential lies in continuing concentration within Canada, where sales have been growing at 20% per year. UCB ran into trouble with their US distribution and could not capitalize on establishing their brand when craft beer was at it's highest exposure. Thus, it has been an uphill battle ever since.
