Yep. The Federal Reserve is engaged in Financial Repression. It is bad for savers, capital creators, and is horrific for this country in the long term. If it was me, I'd end the Fed. Trump knows all this, but he's just trying to get elected. So he wants the Fed to lower rates. This works like a charm. Prior to Obama getting elected his second time around, he was down in the polls compared to Mitt Romney. Then the Fed started a new round of giant QE, the stock market inflated, and Obama's poll numbers jumped enough to win him the election. Go figure. None of this is rocket science. Politicians play games with our lives and we let them.
