thanks I prefer subtropical climate, too. Here in Europe, snowflakes are falling - could live without that <G>.

On notebooks it's right now important to settle for an Intel Chipset (not CPU). Since DELL is closely algigned with INTC, Your choice made sense, even from a tech point of view. I will get my notebook over the year, but I would like to get an Intel-Chipset / AMD-K6 combination, probably clocked at 300Mhz. I'm eagerly waiting for the K6-3D and the K6+3D. Should be made at 0.25 micron and should be a terrific CPU, on par or even better than the Pentium-II but made for a socket 7. Also its MMX performance should equal Intel's Pentium-II offerings..
