The fact that Sony is now targeting the second half of '98 for HiFD instead of the second quarter is not a reason to believe the drive will never ship. In the computer biz, delays are the rule, not the exception.

I defy anyone to name any computer company, whether they make hardware or software, who has never missed a shipping date set in the initial product announcement.
