Notes on the Parikh interview on CNBC:

No warning concerning Asia. Business there "predictable and consistent," and Parikh is comfortable with guidence already given to the street.

Asyst is not very vulnerable because most of its customer base is with Taiwanese and Singaporan low-cost foundries, with less exposure to Japan and Korea.

Asyst has been adopted by the semi industry as the de-facto SMIF standard for the coming switch to 300mm wafer production.

Asyst has 30-40% penitration in 200mm fabs altogether; 100% in the low cost Taiwanese and Syngaporan foundries.

Tone of the interview was very positive.
