I don't believe Truman wanted Greenland's minerals. Whatever mining is done in Greenland is available for our purchase. Denmark is a NATO country and we've made no move to annex Greenland or buy it.

Of course, Trump hates NATO and considers it an enemy of his pro-Russian regime. He also has a primitive idea of resources. Remember he said we should have "taken the oil" from Iraq. He doesn't know that would mean annexing most of the country and treating it as a national colony for many decades with its oil reserves being stolen by a national oil company controlled by the US government. IOW he's a moron with a child's understanding of the world. His supporters are morons too and are compelled to praise any stupid idea that he adopts.
