Why the youth are on the streets? Blame it on the rise of Emotional Intelligence.

That guy who popularized the term must be punished for the evil he did to society.

Emotion, by its own definition, derives from instinct. Circumstances make emotions.

To equate emotion with intelligence is stupid.

People react to messages that appeal to their emotions.

People, ordinary people, run of the mill people, can display emotion. All of them.

Intelligence? No. People can have it or not. Can have more than others.

and there is nothing to do with school

I met a young lady in Nigeria back in the mid 80s. She barely could write.

Had probably primary school and even this primary school was a bad one (grew up during the Biafra War and its aftermath)

Compared with other women, with college degrees, whom I related to, she was much more intelligent.

That intelligence had nothing to do with school. She just had it.

In the past, people would not go to the streets as they do not understand what was going on.

They weren't smart to know what was going.

Non smart people on the street was cause of grave concern because the ones in power knew their survival as ruling elites was under threat. The non smart were in the street in extremis. Survival was at stake.

Cut for today. Survival isn't at stake. People go because they are maneuvered to do to so

The masses on the streets are remote controlled by shadow players.

Shadow players know that they aren't smart thus easy to be controlled or maneuvered.

What has this to do with emotion, you may be asking yourself?

People react to messages that appeal to their emotions.

Shadow players before needed to climb up a pulpit, truck or barrel and shout out of a megaphone.

There were risks in trying to maneuvered the crowds to do what you wanted them to do.

Today there is no need to stand up in front of the crowd.
You can do it using social media.

There you have it. Pepople on the streets following their emotional not their intelligence.
