Obviously Elon Musk is a great salesman, and of great persuasion abilities. Further he has a good sense of what people like to hear or buy/use and hardworking. But that is about him, he burns cash at a staggering rate in his companies and to date I have not seen from him (not his staff) any major technological achievement.

.... and yes "Despite Elon Musk's alarmist tweet about an asteroid hitting Earth, NASA says there is no known threat" ( edition.cnn.com )

When Tesla acquired SolarCity in 2016, the $2.6 billion deal was criticized by many as a bailout by Elon Musk and for Elon Musk, who was the biggest shareholder of both the electric carmaker and the solar panel distributor.

In an explosive 114-page lawsuit filed on Tuesday, Walmartpiled onto the controversy, highlighting the familial ties between Tesla and SolarCity as the underpinnings of a flawed merger that allegedly produced shoddy craftsmanship and led to fires at seven Walmart stores. ( cnbc.com )

To sum it up,would not buy into his predictions or personal performance and the markets tend to agree with me year to date or year to year the stock price lost around 1/3 of his value.

So much for his technological achievements, for improving a concept Edison and Ford worked on about 110 years ago.Same product in principle only with batteries of different chemistry and the use of widely available more advance technological developments that where available from 100 years ago.

Therefore his professional opinions on real science have no real meaning and serve his own business interests with carefully crafted PR - therefore best to ignore,

GE and Jack Welch supposedly had a image of a "genius" the stock rose and rose based on his well crafted PR and reached a price over $60 ($100 inflation adjusted ) - oh well where is GE stock and profit performance now?

$8.4?

What happen to a supposedly well crafted plan, laid out by someone that WS referred to him as an unrivaled talented knowledgeable CEO, by rubbing shoulders with the best engineers money can hire/buy in the GE relevant businesses?

Well all is perception and imagination of the gullible
